Development of energy efficient and  environment protective Aquaculture Technologies for Degraded soils

CIFE is the premier National Institution of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Govt. of India in the field of fisheries education and research.

 

CIFE has a flagship R&D program on inland saline aquaculture. In order to further strengthen the flagship program on inland saline aquaculture from a long term sustainability perspective, ICAR and CIFE has initiated a megaproject. The project is funded by the World Bank and Govt of India under the ambit of the National Agricultural Higher Education Project (NAHEP).

Centers for Advanced Agricultural Science and Technology (CAAST) is being coordinated by ICAR's Education Division. This mega project constitutes of 4 major components and 11 minor components.
