Background

Pedagogy, most commonly understood as the approach to teaching, refers to the theory and practice of learning, and how this process influences, and is influenced by, the social, political and psychological development of learners. A common way of approaching pedagogy is as the art and science (and maybe even craft) of teaching. Pedagogy in educational vernacular has gained currency as a substitute for methods of instruction or techniques of teaching (Loughran, 2006; van Manen, 1999).

Strengthening lab facilities for students to carry out the research and field activities
Supporting students’ participation in national and international conferences

Capacity building and faculty upgradation programs

Specific capacity building modules on entrepreneurship, research aptitude development and industry orientation will be developed and implemented.
Faculty upgradation through international and national trainings for preparing high quality human resources.
Collaboration with national & international centres of excellence in education and research
Distinguished lecture series and special lectures will be organized besides instituting visiting professorships.

Students’ international training and exposure visits

Organizing national international conferences, students’ convention, alumni meet, awareness campaigns, and branding for increasing visibility.
Adjunct/visiting professors, scientists on sabbatical leave from outside the state/country to participate in teaching and research programmes and to mentor PG students
